TIG Torches
TIG (GTAW) welding strikes an arc between a non-consumable tungsten electrode and the workpiece, while an inert gas — usually argon — shields the weld pool from the atmosphere. Every accessory in the torch assembly has one job: hold the tungsten steady, direct the gas cleanly, and let the operator control heat with precision.
Unlike MIG welding machines, which feed a continuous consumable wire, or SMAW / ARC welders, which rely on a flux-coated stick electrode, TIG gives the operator full manual control over filler and heat — which is why collet, gas lens and cup quality matters more here than in any other process. Pair the right torch with a compatible TIG welding machine to match amperage and duty cycle.
Tungsten electrode is clamped by the collet and collet body, sized to the correct diameter.
Welding current transfers to the wire right at the tip, producing a stable, repeatable arc.
Operator controls amperage and travel speed as the arc melts base metal and filler rod.
Worn tips, contaminated tungsten or cracked cups are replaced to protect weld quality.
Collets, gas lenses and back caps improve arc stability for delicate welds on thin or non-ferrous metals.
Ceramic cups and gas lenses ensure even gas distribution for clean, oxidation-free welds.
Works with standard torches like WP26, WP18, WC400 and GC200 across most industrial setups.
Built from CuCrZr and high-grade ceramics for longer life under sustained heat.
Quick-fit designs make on-site part replacement fast, cutting downtime.
Manufactured under strict quality control and available through APS’s dealer network.

| TIG Welding Accessory | Description | Application / Benefit |
|---|---|---|
| TIG Torch | The primary welding tool available in air-cooled models like WP26 and water-cooled models such as WP18 and WC200. | Select the appropriate torch based on amperage, duty cycle, and cooling requirements for optimal welding performance. |
| Tungsten Electrodes | Available in thoriated, ceriated, and lanthanated variants to suit different welding applications. | Provides a stable arc; selection depends on base material and whether AC or DC current is used. |
| Collets & Collet Bodies | Securely hold the tungsten electrode in position inside the TIG torch. | Maintains proper electrode alignment and arc stability. Regular replacement ensures consistent weld quality. |
| Ceramic Cups & Gas Lenses | Control and direct shielding gas flow around the weld zone. | Improves gas coverage, reduces turbulence, enhances arc stability, and produces cleaner welds. |
| Back Caps & Nozzles | Back caps secure the tungsten electrode, while nozzles provide effective shielding gas distribution. | Allows better access in confined spaces and ensures proper shielding for high-quality welds. |
